When the vacuum pump is in use, it often finds that its bearing is hot and the temperature is too high. So what is the cause? The following small series will explain the reason for you.
The heating of the bearing during the operation of the vacuum pump is mainly based on its high-speed operation. The specific reasons include cracking of the valve plate, failure of the shaft end seal, excessive bearing preload, sensation, smooth appearance and bearing damage. The following is a detailed analysis:
1. Valve cracking: The crack of the valve plate causes the pressure on both sides of the impeller to be unbalanced. The axial force of the rotor will occur, which will intensify the bearing load. The long-term operation will increase the bearing temperature.
2. Shaft end seal failure: When the shaft end seal packing is damaged or the sealed water hole is blocked, it will affect the pump suction and exhaust performance. If only one side of the seal fails, the pressure imbalance on both sides of the impeller will be formed, and the axial force of the rotor will increase the bearing load, thereby increasing the bearing temperature.
3. The bearing pre-tightening force is too large: this situation will promote the bearing clearance reduction or no play, forming the bearing heating.
4. Sensational effects: Excessive sensation of the pump body or bearing will also cause the bearing temperature to be too high.
5. Smooth appearance: the increase of smooth grease is too large or too small, or the smooth grease type does not match, and its use time is too long, or the smooth grease will be contaminated to form bearing heat. At this moment, you should check the smooth grease type, ask the manufacturer the appropriate amount, adjust the smooth grease to recover the bearing temperature.
6. Bearing damage: bearing bearing roll and bearing cage damage will be accompanied by the appearance of bearing overheating. Bearing damage is necessary to replace the new bearing in time.
