Vacuum Pump Use Attention Points
Jun 21, 2019| When the vacuum pump is in use, some points of attention are needed. We will ask the vacuum pump manufacturer to give us a detailed introduction today.
1. The vacuum pump is used to pump clean gas, and it can not be toxic, flammable, explosive, corrosive gas, solvent and powder. Such as flammable gases, special or high-concentration strong acid and strong alkaline gases containing the specified components of national special chemicals. These gases are prone to bearing failure.
2. The intake air temperature must be <50 °C, otherwise a cold trap must be added between the vacuum chamber and the pump inlet to cool down to less than 50 °C.
3. To pump gas containing water vapor, open the gas ballast valve and pump the gas. The water vapor content of the pumped gas is required to be 23 g/day or less. If this limit is exceeded, the life of the gas ballast valve will be shortened.
4. The vacuum pump is forbidden to work in corrosive, flammable, explosive gas or steam environment, otherwise it will cause explosion, fire and other dangers.
5. It is forbidden to move this pump by one or two people. To be handled, installed, configured, wired, operated, maintained, and inspected by a professional, otherwise the risk of electric shock, injury, or damage to the pump or even the vacuum chamber may result.
6. It is forbidden to continue to use the damaged pump, otherwise there will be dangers such as injury, electric shock or even damage to the pumping system.
7. Check to make sure the pump is safely grounded.
8. Do not touch the pump motor or metal parts during the operation of the pump or just after stopping (because it is very hot during operation, the maximum possible temperature is 70 °C). If it is necessary to contact, take the necessary protective measures to prevent injury.
9. The motor protection switch must be installed.
10. Do not scratch the air inlet and exhaust flange to avoid damage to the flange, resulting in a vacuum.
11. Install a shut-off valve at the air inlet. The vacuum at the air inlet is reduced after the vacuum pump is stopped, because the atmosphere at the exhaust port is returned to the air inlet, which is not the cause of the vacuum pump. If you want to ensure the vacuum in the vacuum chamber, install a shut-off valve between the vacuum chamber and the pump.
12. Connect the exhaust pipe at the exhaust port to prevent dust from entering the pump.
